Connect classes

Connect Classes are a short three-part exploration of what Christians believe, how we live out that belief through certain spiritual practices, and how to partner with one another as we journey. At the culmination of this study, you will be invited to join Morning Star Church in full membership. Connect is open to everyone and is your first “next-step” on a spiritual journey at Morning Star. Connect Class is offered on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays of every odd month of the year (January, March, May, July, September, and November). The class meets from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. (there will be a short break at 10:15 a.m. to allow parents to pick their children up from childcare) in Modular 1 and it is free. Childcare is available for $5 per family.
Interested in meeting new people, growing in your faith or just learning more about our beliefs and practices? After you’ve come to worship services at Morning Star, we recommend your next steps include Connect Classes.

*Please note: “Christian Beliefs” is offered on Week 2, “Spiritual Practices” is offered on Week 3 and “Partnering” is offered on Week 4. The first two classes may be taken in any order, however, attending both “Christian Beliefs” and “Spiritual Practices” is required before taking “Partnering”.
NEED CHILDCARE?
Parents attending Connect Classes can check children ages birth through 5th grade into our Children’s Ministry starting at 8:45 a.m. Parents can pick-up their kiddos after class until 10:15 a.m. and check them in again at 10:50 a.m. if attending the 11:00 a.m. worship service. Please go to the Children’s Ministry registration desk in the church building for assistance with checking-in and picking-up your child.

Christian Beliefs

We’ll explore what Christians believe about God and humanity. You’ll also learn about various Christian traditions and discuss our understanding of sin, forgiveness, salvation and eternity.

Spiritual Practices

We’ll explore creating spiritual activities and rhythms in your life that include prayer, solitude, scripture, health, Sabbath, self-examination and discernment.

Partnering

We’ll explore what it means to partner with each other to share the hope of Jesus with our community.  It is our hope that you will partner with us through serving others, inviting friends and supporting MSC financially.  All of this is necessary to fulfill Go’s mission for Morning Star, our community and the world.
