When Kelley first began attending MSC in the summer of 2003, she encountered something altogether different from the years and years she spent in churches growing up: Passion. And from the first service, she was hooked. In February 2006, she joined the staff, and she's completely blown-over by the idea that she gets to be a part of what God's doing through this church.
Kelley has a BA in Psychology and an MA in Counseling. She and her husband, Jack, share two bright, nutty, and unreasonably creative girly-squirrels: Emily (13) and Bekah (11). Kelley is trying to come to grips with the idea that neither sarcasm nor procrastination are actually spiritual gifts, and she carries a dictionary around in her purse. True story.
If your elementary school teachers had to describe you in three words, what would they be? Talkative. Perfectionistic. Independent.
Name something people would be surprised to know about you. I am really, really, really, really shy.
Ever been bungee jumping? If not, would you? I have not, and I would not. But, I had my nose pierced for awhile, and I got sent to the principal's office in fourth grade for starting a petition to improve recess, and I'd really like to get a tattoo. Don't those things count for something?
What talent do you wish you had . . . but you just don't . . . like, not even close? I would love to be able to draw something other than the goofy little stick figure guy I always draw. It's the only dumb thing I can even doodle.
What did you want to be when you grew up? Oh goodness. A garbage truck driver. No idea why. Oh, and I also wanted to be Annie. Yep, the one from the musical.
