Classes and Life Bands Volunteer Opportunities
Try It

Morning Star’s mission is to develop fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. We’re intentional about meeting people wherever they are on their spiritual journey and helping them to take their next steps. These opportunities are a part of that next-step taking, providing ways for people to learn and to connect with others.

Class Facilitator
Many of our class-based discipleship programs are led by volunteer facilitators, including Starting Point, Membership Class, and Financial Peace University. Facilitators must be members of MSC.

Men’s Ministry
The mission of the Men’s Ministry is to develop men into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ and equip them to become spiritual leaders.  Volunteer roles include facilitating small groups, planning and coordinating events, and more.

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS)
Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS)  strives to meet the needs of all mothers with children ages birth to kindergarten who share a common desire to become better moms and stronger women of influence in our communities. Volunteers can serve by caring for children during MOPS meetings or by mentoring moms through the program.

Open Mike Night
Open Mike Night is an opportunity for people who are new to MSC to meet Pastor Mike and hear about our mission, vision, and core values. Open Mike Night volunteers coordinate snacks and hospitality for the session.

Sages
Our 50-something-and-older group motto is "age + wisdom = knowledge." Sages gathers regularly for social events. Volunteers are always welcome to help plan and coordinate Sages events and activites.

Women’s Ministry
The Women’s Ministry helps women see how God made every woman special and helps women flourish in every season of life.  Volunteers can serve in several different capacities: planning and coordinating events, assisting with specific elements of women’s ministry events (such as music, crafts, or media presentations), assisting with event registrations at the Connection Center, and more.
